 Objectives: At the end of the course delegates will:

  • Have been given a detailed explanation of solar photovoltaic systems
  • Be familiar with the practical aspects of selecting, installing and commissioning solar photovoltaic
    systems
  • Have knowledge of the regulations and standards applicable to the installation and commissioning of Solar Photovoltaic systems
  • Be able to select, install, set to work and commission solar photovoltaic systems
  • Be familiar with system design and integration

16th - 18th March in Barnsley

21st-23rd April in East Grinstead

15th-17th June in Penkridge

 Objectives: At the end of the course delegates will:

  • Have knowledge of the regulations and standards applicable to the installation of solar thermal
    systems
  • Have gained an overview of the principles of hot water storage
  • Have been given a detailed explanation & covered the practical aspects of selecting, installing and commissioning flat plate collectors, evacuated tube arrays, fully filled and drainback solar systems
  • Have gained a qualification in the installation, servicing and maintenance of unvented hot water systems up to 500 litres
  • Be familiar with the different types of Collector
  • Have learned about the external & internal site survey requirements of solar thermal systems

1st-3rd June in East Grinstead

 Objectives: At the end of the course delegates will:

  • Have knowledge of the regulations and standards applicable to the installation of ground and air
    source heat pumps
  • Have gained an overview of the basic principles of air sources pumps, ground source pumps and
    brine circuits (loop, slinky and borehole)
  • Be able to identify the working mechanisms of each type of system
  • Be able select, install, set to work and commission each type of heat pump
  • Have learned about the integration to domestic and small scale commercial heating and hot water systems
  • Have gained both theroretical knowledge and undertaken practical application of the installation and servicing of heat pump systems
