Paul Reeve

Health & safety/Group secretary

Paul is M&E Sustainability's group secretary as well as its resident expert on health, safety and environmental matters. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Environmental Management and an advisor to two leading certification bodies on H,S & E issues. He has advised numerous companies on the successful implementation of environmental management systems.

Paul is a chartered safety practitioner and the man behind the ECA's acclaimed Zero Accident Potential (ZAP) initiative, which has led to a 60 per cent fall in serious accidents for ECA members since 2001.

Before joining the ECA, Paul spent 11 years as head of safety and environment at the Engineering Employers' Federation. During his time there, among other things, he helped to significantly change the design of the Government's climate change levy.

Bob Towse

Technical and safety expert - mechanical

Bob is our man on all things technical and safety from the mechanical side. Formerly with gas safety body CORGI, Bob has been head of technical and safety at the HVCA since 2001.

He has an in-depth knowledge of heating, ventilating and air conditioning plant and can advise contractors on all technical aspects of sustainability including legislation and safety laws.

Mike Malina

Energy management and commissioning

Mike Malina is the principal and founder of Energy Solutions Associates and M&E Sustainability’s resident energy management and commissioning expert.

Mike has over 20 years experience in building services specialising in energy management. He was formerly head of the energy management division at Commtech. He now carries out building energy audits, is a thermal imaging specialist and undertakes training on energy management, building regulations and competent person schemes.

He will happily advise contractors on all aspects of energy measuring and monitoring, improving the energy management of a building and anything to do with energy efficiency targets and European or national energy related legislation.

Giuliano Digilio

Technical expert - electrical

Giuliano is head of technical services at the ECA.
He has extensive electrical engineering experience and has been involved in most types of electrical building services installations. Prior to joining Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA), he has worked for various Building Services consultants and Building Services contracting companies.
 
He is responsible for providing support and advice on technical issues and all technical matters undertaken by the ECA. He is responsible for the technical committee’s and provides technical advice and support for both the ECA membership and internal departments of the ECA.
