Hybrid man wins S Factor
Six 'contestants' took part in this year's S Factor competition at the London HEVAR Show this week.
Air free wet systems, off-site prefabrication; ice storage, fan convectors, and ground source heat pumps were all represented, but it was a multi-faceted hybrid system for integrating renewable energy sources with thermal storage and existing building services that won the day.

This was the second year in a row that M&E Sustainability had staged the event at HEVAR with our judges Graham Manly; Ant Wilson and Tony Sung in combative mood.
A fuller description of the various presentations will appear on this website next week, but for now our congratulations go to Graham Rodd (left) of MHG Heating who won over the judges and the audience with the case he put together for a hybrid approach to integrating renewables into buildings.
David Dutch of Ormandy Group came in a very close and creditable second with his extremely polished presentation on offsite pre-fabrication.
