Boris to open Energy Centre
London Mayor Boris Johnson will open the Centre for Efficient and Renewable Energy in Buildings (CEREB) at London South Bank University (LSBU) next week.
The Centre, which is sponsored by M&E Sustainability, will showcase renewable and low carbon technologies as well as being a highly valuable teaching resource for LSBU, Kingston and City universities. Distance learning degrees and hands-on practical building services training will take place at CEREB, which is due to open on Wednesday, June 23 at 6pm.
Members of the HVCA and ECA will have privileged access to the Centre, which will help to disseminate learning about energy efficiency best practice as well as monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of a full range of renewable and low carbon technologies.
M&E Sustainability chairman Jim O'Neil will join Mr Johnson and LSBU pro-vice chancellor Dr Mike Wilkinson to open the centre and make a speech about the importance of the industry having access to facilities of this kind.
The official opening takes place in the middle of a two-day conference: ‘Energy in the City’ hosted by the Solar Energy Society at LSBU.
Guest Speakers include:
