Associated Electrical Services (AES) was formed in 1981 operating as a general electrical contractor, and specialising in all aspects of electric heating and heat recovery. They are now focussing more into the energy efficiency area.
Case Study: Commercial refurbishment located in the Essex area. appox size 1000 mts
Work at this stage is intensive investigation in to the building. The investigation is to see what can be done to improve energy savings and to reduce carbon emissions, as the clients main request is to reduce the large energy cost.
The property will be completely rewired, all lighting and controls will be replaced, areas of lighting to be controlled by PIRs whilst others to be controlled by Thorn sense light controls. All lighting has been designed by Thorn Lighting PLC.
All windows, doors, sky lights to be replaced with aluminium framed double glazed units.
Heat recovery units to be installed, the old air con to be replaced, The heating boiler is only some 18 months old, but are waiting a engineers report and recommendations on this. 50% of the heating system is to be replaced whilst the remainder will be cleaned and upgraded.
All cavity walls are to be cavity filled with rockwool, the roof voids are under investigation as to the best method of insulation.
A Carbon Trust interest free loan is to be applied for this project.
